Residency begins: March 18
Residency ends: December 20
Overview:
AAAF’s Artivism Lab is seeking a remote Digital Artist-in-Residence to create engaging and educational digital art to support our work from March 2024 - December 2024. The digital illustrations and graphics will be used as tools to civically engage community members to get out the vote, to take action, and teach policy issues that most concern our communities.
The ideal candidate would have demonstrated interest and experience in social justice issues, movements, or have experience in engaging with local Asian American communities, particularly in Georgia. While working closely with the Creative Communications Manager, the artist will be responsible for research, developing visual concepts, presentation, and production as part of this residency. We are seeking organized, collaborative, and punctual artists with strong backgrounds in digital illustration and graphic design. Video editing and animation experiences are a plus.
We are strongly committed to ensuring that those people most impacted are leading and guiding this work. As a result, we especially encourage artists and creatives who identify as being part of the Asian American and MASA (Muslim, Arab, and South Asian) community to apply.
Application Guidelines:
To apply, please submit the following as one PDF file by February 23, 2024 at 11:59 PM EST to artivism@asianamericanadvocacyfund.org.
