Artist-in-Residence

AAAF’s Artivism Lab is seeking an Artist-in-Residence (AIR) to create engaging and educational art to support our work from April 2025 - December 2025. The work by our AIR will be used for storytelling tools to uplift how our communities are impacted by issues such as economic and housing justice, healthcare, immigrant rights and more.

Applicant Qualifications: 

The ideal candidate demonstrates interest and/or experience in social justice issues, movements, or have experience in engaging with local Asian American communities. While working closely with the Creative Communications Manager, the artist will be responsible for research, developing visual concepts, presentation, and production as part of this residency. We are seeking organized, collaborative, and punctual artists with strong artistic backgrounds in digital art and/or design. 

• Must be 18+ years of age

• Must be based out of Georgia 

We are strongly committed to ensuring that those people most impacted are leading and guiding this work. As a result, we especially encourage artists and creatives who identify as being part of the Asian American and MASA (Muslim, Arab, and South Asian) community to apply. 

Compensation:

Selected AIR will receive $16,000. AIR will be paid $2,000 per month.

There will be a Zoom info session at 6:00 PM EST on February 10, 2024. The info session will be recorded and made available for those who cannot attend.
